This is a true Bi-Color. Sterling changes the color, not the pattern at the center of the rope, so you can easily discern the middle of the rope. No longer will you fumble trying to find the middle or stress wondering if both ends of the rope are even. Each Sterling Bi-Color is custom made. It is available in 10.2mm and 9.7mm diameters and 50M and 60M lengths dry and standard. Sterling ropes are designed to be firm, round, strong, and durable. Through their innovative Better Braid Technology and Precision Manufacturing, they put more twist in each sheath yarn. This process exposes less yarn to abrasion, so the sheath won't fuzz up over time. In addition, twist aligns the sheath yarns more in the direction of the load during a fall. More twist in the core yarns reduces the impact force and gives Sterling ropes high fall ratings- two key factors to look for when buying a rope. Most unique about all Sterling ropes is DryCore. DryCore is the name given to these cores because they make them with a special fiber from AlliedSignal called SeaGard, which greatly inhibits the absorption of moisture. DryCore is an integral component of each and every rope and cannot wear off, giving you maxium protction with out the added cost of dry treatment. Since dry is light, if you want the best moisture protection, Sterling recommends Sterling Dry Dynamics, which feature a dry treated sheath and DryCore.
